Exterior Painting
Choosing the right Exterior Painting Contractor can pay off significantly in the long run. Here at Painting Connection, LLC we use special preparation techniques and materials that will ensure longevity and mitigate the potential problems that cause paint to fade, crack or peel. While a cheap paint job might last two to three years, a professional, quality finish should last 8 to 10 years. See below how we insure a quality exterior paint job.
Step 1: Inspection
We completely inspect the outside walls of your home for deterioration and take notes of everything that is going to be done. |
Step 2: Power Washing/ Sanding & Scraping
Your entire house is pressure washed to remove loose paint, dirt, stains, mold, mildew, insects and algae. Your home is then scraped and sanded where needed, to remove any additional loose and built up paint and debris. While paint is made to bond to the surface, the cleaner that surface is, the longer your paint job will last. |
Step 3: Trenching
We dig a trench around your home and scrape foundation. The trenching will help eliminate foundation decay and prevent moisture intrusion. |
Step 4: Repair and Patch
Deteriorated areas are patched with elastomeric patching and bonding materials to correct any imperfections. |
Step 5: Masking
All doors, windows, landscaping and surfaces not to be painted are carefully covered to prevent over spray. |
Step 6: Primer Applied
A heavy coating of primer is then applied to your home’s exterior. |
Step 7: Finish Coat Applied
A heavy coating of finished paint is then applied. This finish coat bonds itself to the primer for a longer lasting paint job. |
Step 8: Final Paint Coat Applied to Trim and Accents
Once the main walls are coated, all trim and accent colors are painted at this point final touch ups and cleanup is done then we walk around your house with you to inspect it and make sure everything is perfect. |
